Wood-burning ceramic stoves

Beautiful and in perfect harmony with their surroundings, these are the fine artisan heat-storage ceramic stoves made and installed by the Zardini Artisan Workshops of Cortina — a company that combines the meticulous craftsmanship of the product with a special focus on clean, low-consumption energy. Hand-painted, custom-built, and easy to manage, they are an entirely Italian product: fueled by wood, pellets, or biofuel without the aid of electricity, they optimize combustion with thermal efficiencies capable of exceeding the highest expectations.

The traditional wood-fired heat-storage ceramic stoves, built with special eco-friendly artisan fireboxes whose principle is to optimize combustion in order to reduce particulate emissions, are designed according to the EN 15544 calculation system (site-assembled stoves), ensuring thermal efficiencies above 80% with long operating autonomy in full respect of the environment.

Pellet ceramic stoves

Traditional wood-burning stoves are now complemented by the innovative pyrolytic, heat-storage ceramic pellet stoves by Zardini. Designed in accordance with the new EN 16510 standard, they qualify for the current tax incentives available to those who invest in renewable energy and energy efficiency. Featuring Environmental Certification, they represent not only innovation in the type of combustion, but also a new concept of domestic heat production.

Guia and Epica are two great Zardini families — hand-decorated ceramic stoves conceived and designed by Zardini: tradition and innovation for domestic heat. They have a state-of-the-art core that ensures extremely high thermal efficiency. Beautiful and in perfect harmony with their surroundings, these are the fine artisan heat-storage ceramic stoves made and installed by the Zardini Artisan Workshops of Cortina — a company that combines the meticulous craftsmanship of a handmade product with a special focus on clean, low-consumption energy. Thanks to the Zardini ceramic cladding, unique of its kind, they store the heat produced by combustion and radiate it throughout the day with a small load of pellets, warming the rooms even after the flame has gone out. Thanks to the pyrolysis process, the glass does not blacken and the flue stays clean, ensuring greater safety.

The craftsmanship of the handmade product is combined with research. Zardini's eco-friendly stoves, certified by Environmental Certification, burn pellets without the aid of electricity. They heat the room for many hours even after the flame has gone out.
They qualify for tax incentives such as the Bonus Casa (Home Bonus) or Conto Termico 3.

The combustion process

How a pyrolytic pellet stove works

A controlled combustion cycle in 5 phases: from the initial pyrolysis, through gas mixing and charcoal gasification, to the residual ash. Each phase is designed to maximize thermal output and reduce emissions.

Phase 1

Pyrolysis

The flame triggers the process: the pellet heats up and begins to release combustible gases. Primary and secondary air feed the pyrolysis front, which advances downward.

ZARDINI RADIANT CERAMIC COOKERS

Zardini’s radiant, heat-storage ceramic cookers are built with fireboxes sized according to the power needed not only for cooking, but also for heating the home, thanks to the extensive use of premium refractory material.

The internal flue-gas circuit is designed in accordance with the EN 15544 standard to ensure high thermal efficiency with little wood, and the cookers are fitted with convenient inspection points for checking and cleaning the resulting ash.

Cooking plates in cast iron or ceramic glass, stainless steel ovens for baking bread, pizzas, and cakes, electric ovens, sinks, and hand-painted wall claddings.

They are equipped with special stainless steel frames for hot-air circulation and ventilated internal cavities that protect the furniture, with the considerable advantage of increasing the heating power.

How it works

The thermosetting liner is impregnated with special resins developed in Beca Engineering’s laboratories. It is inserted into any type of flue and inflated with air and steam so that it adheres perfectly, like a second skin. Once cured, it guarantees a perfect seal against fumes, repairing even the largest cracks with no need for masonry work.
