2. Types of data collected

2.1 Browsing data

During normal operation, our systems collect data that is implicit in the use of Internet protocols: IP address, browser type and operating system, pages visited and access times. This data is used for aggregate statistical purposes and for the security of the site.

2.2 Data voluntarily provided via the contact form

Through the contact form on our Contact page you may provide your name, email address, phone number (optional) and the content of your message. Providing this information is optional but necessary in order to reply to your enquiry.

2.3 Consent log

To document consents (cookies and contact form) we store a unique identifier (UUID), the timestamp of consent, an anonymised hash of the IP address (the IP itself is never stored in clear) and the browser user-agent. The data is stored in dedicated tables of the site database.

3. Purposes and legal bases

  • Operation and security of the website — legitimate interest (Art. 6.1.f GDPR).
  • Replying to enquiries sent through the contact form — pre-contractual measures / consent (Art. 6.1.b/a GDPR).
  • Aggregate usage statistics — consent (Art. 6.1.a), collected via the cookie banner.
  • Third-party services (maps, virtual tour, fonts) — consent (Art. 6.1.a), via the cookie banner.
  • Documentation of consents — accountability obligation (Art. 7 GDPR).

4. Third-party services and providers

To deliver the service we rely on the following providers, who may process data as data processors or independent controllers:

  • Serverplan S.r.l. — website hosting, with servers located in the European Union.
  • Matomo Analytics (self-hosted / installed by the controller) — privacy-friendly usage statistics. Enabled only after consent to the «Statistics» category. IP addresses are anonymised before storage.
  • Google Maps / Google Street View (Google Ireland Ltd.) — location map and virtual tour of the workshop. Loaded only after consent to the «Third parties» category.
  • OpenStreetMap (OSM Foundation) — alternative location map (if in use); does not require consent but may receive your IP address when loading the map.
  • Google Fonts (Google Ireland Ltd.) — Cormorant Garamond and Inter typefaces loaded from the Google Fonts service. When the page loads, your IP is transmitted to Google. (Alternatively, the controller may host the fonts locally: in that case no data is transmitted to Google.)
  • Contact Form 7 — plugin handling the submission of the contact form; messages are forwarded to info@zardini.com.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile (Cloudflare Inc., USA) — anti-bot protection system for the contact form. When the page containing the form is loaded, your browser performs an automatic verification that transmits to Cloudflare your IP address, user-agent and technical browser signals — exclusively to distinguish human traffic from automated traffic. Turnstile does not install tracking cookies, does not fingerprint the device and does not use data for commercial or profiling purposes. Legal basis: legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f GDPR) in protecting the form from abuse and spam. Non-EU data transfers are regulated by Standard Contractual Clauses of the European Commission.

5. Transfers outside the EU

Some providers (e.g. Google) may process data outside the European Union. In such cases, transfers rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or on adequacy decisions.

6. Retention periods

  • Contact-form enquiries: up to 24 months.
  • Consent log: up to 10 years (evidence purposes under Art. 7 GDPR).
  • Browsing logs: up to 12 months.
  • Statistical data: according to Matomo’s configuration (typically up to 13 months).

7. Rights of the data subject

You may exercise at any time your rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability of your data (Arts. 15–22 GDPR) by writing to info@zardini.com. You also have
the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante) (garanteprivacy.it).
