Zardini Radiant Ceramic Heat-Accumulation Stoves embody the excellent evolution of a millennia-old solar heating — with its enveloping, relaxing, and healthy, soft long-wave warmth. A small daily load of wood — the most abundant and renewable biomass par excellence — is enough to heat effectively for 24 hours, at little cost and with minimal maintenance; consider that emptying the ash needs to be done, on average, only every 2 months.

It all comes down to the quality and performance of the materials used: internal plates of high consistency, made with high-density refractory material for optimal heat conduction; handcrafted eco-friendly refractory fireboxes that optimize combustion, minimizing particulate emissions and directing the flow of combustion air straight into the combustion chamber; and above all the external cladding plates — an exclusive Zardini product — in ceramic on a full-thickness refractory base (55–60 mm), which accumulate the thermal energy produced by a single daily load and then release it steadily and continuously for hours, with an effect comparable to the rays of the sun.

Stoves with long autonomy and safe operation, even in the event of a blackout. Purchasing a Zardini ceramic stove, while requiring an immediate outlay, allows you to cut the costs normally incurred with standard heating systems by a third, amortizing the sum invested within a few years.

What your installation will require

Four things to know before you begin.

01 - Flue

The engine of the stove.

The flue must include a UNI TS 11278 plate, clearly visible and filled in by the installer, and must come with the declaration of conformity required by law (Italian D.P.R. No. 1391/70 and DM 37/08), demonstrating compatibility with biomass-fuel appliances — therefore with a flue-gas operating temperature of at least T400-G, and in any case able to withstand soot combustion.

  • Refractory rings and internal steel pipes free to expand up to the chimney cap

02 — Positioning

Where the stove goes.

Generally determined by the proximity of the existing flue. The ideal location places the stove predominantly toward the living-dining area and secondarily toward the kitchen and hallway-entrance, with heating by direct radiation; the sleeping area is served by convective heat formed by moving air masses.

03 — Structural check

A medium-sized stove exceeds one tonne.

A preliminary structural assessment of the floor and supporting structure against the permanent load is required. Beneath the stove's supporting surface, and for a clearance band of about 50 cm, the presence of piping and cable ducts must be ruled out. The same precaution applies to the walls near the stove.

04 — A stove breathes.

An adequate supply of combustion air must be ensured to the room housing the stove. A correctly sized air intake guarantees complete combustion, efficiency, and safety.
